Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the qualification prescribed under the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2025.
For most Senior Resident positions, applicants should possess:
- MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty from an institution recognized by NMC.
For super-specialty disciplines such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Surgical Gastroenterology, Pediatric Surgery and others, the qualifications specified in the official notification shall apply.
For Pediatric Biochemistry:
Senior Resident (Medical Candidate)
- MD/DNB in Biochemistry.
Demonstrator (Non-Medical Candidate)
- M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry with Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from a recognized institution.
Tenure of Appointment
Selected candidates shall initially be engaged for a period of one year, which may be extended annually subject to satisfactory performance.
The maximum tenure of Senior Residency/Demonstratorship/Tutorship shall be three years as per the applicable rules.
